The power of possibility thinking.

If you have read the Bible you will not miss the story of the little David and Goliath (1Samual 17).You know Goliath was a giant of a man and even king Saul and his entire army was afraid of him. (they waited 40 days without fighting )The young boy David who visited his brothers was surprised to see his brothers were also afraid of Goliath. David asked his brothers why can’t they stand up and fight. One of his brothers (Eliab) even doubted his intentions. Others retorted that Goliath is too big to  hit! Then David said ,“No, Goliath is not too big to hit ,he is too big to miss.!”(Remember David and his brothers belong to the same father –Jasse!)We know what happened next. We also know what this young shepherd boy could do with his crude , unsophisticated weapon-the sling and the stone!

The Giant is same for both his brothers, and for David. The difference is only in their perception!!The power of possibility thinking!

Can some one change the destiny?

Ak was depressed. Things were not happening as he had expected. He wondered is there a way out. By the time he reached home little Alverno ,his daughter, was in her beach wear. He remembered that he had promised her to take to the beach. He was not really in a mood but he knew the fragile little heart of a child.
In an hour his body was in the beach! The strong wind whisked his hair. He sat in the sand disheartened. The little girl chuckled and ran through the smooth sand and splashed into the waves.
Suddenly her attention was on her dad. In a jiffy, she knew he was not in his usual self. To cheer her dad she pointed to the colourful sailing boats yonder and wondered ,”dad, how could those boats move so fast?

“Its because the wind which blows on the sails”, he answered coldly.

Then’ , she wondered, ”dad , the wind is blowing only in one direction, but each boat is moving in a different direction ,why is this so?”

‘It depends on how you set the sail” retorted the dad.
“So dad , we can’t change the direction of the wind; but definitely we can change the sail!”Chuckling ,she ran into the water.

He brooded over her remark for a while then vanquished his disposition, got up and hugged his daughter with a new revelation and jumped into the bouncing waves!

Do we get back what we give to others?

Little Gargi was cross with her mother. As cross as any other child would be! She sat near the river bank and wept bitterly as any other child would.. Time elapsed and little Gargi stopped crying and lifted her little head a little up. She found the birds flying home. Suddenly she noticed Slowly, but surely, the crimson sky was turning murky! She didn’t want to go home ;but had a shudder in the heart when the murky sky showed its teeth at her in the horizon! In desperation she stood up and stamped her food and shouted aloud, “I hate you!” In a few seconds the river echoed back “I hate you!”, followed by the rumbling of the sky! The child was nonplused and ran to its mom in great fear! By the time she reached home ,the little child was almost exasperated and cried out that there is a bad girl at the river bank who shouted back “I hate you”, to her. Luckily, the mother was not a numb-skull and took the child back to the river bank .Keeping aside her scientific temper, she asked the child to shout “I love you” to the bad girl on the other side of the river. Lo! in no time came back the reply “I love you”. The little child looked at the mother in wonderment!

“You always get back what you give to others!” Said the mother beaming!

Freedom at last!

Here is the story of my fried Raichel Dorothy.I would never trade myself, my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly! As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own wonderful friend!
I don't chide myself any more for eating that extra cookie or an extra desert, or for not making my bed properly, or for being so stupid on my patio, or a messy cooking or for buying that silly ---- I love! I am entitled to a treat! To be messy! To be extravagant!!
Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and snore until noon? On an eve I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 and 70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love ... I ‘ll. Yes, I will! I am a decimal Lilly and off the time! So what?

I’ll walk the beach in a swimming suit that is stretched over my lumping body, and will dive into the waves with nothing, if I choose to be, despite the pitying glances and the murmur of the crowed!
I would laugh in my mind and say to them, you pretty, you too, shall get old one day!
I have seen too many a friends, so careful about their lives, leave this world too soon! Before they earned the great freedom that comes with the silver gray!
I know, sometimes, I’m forgetful. But there again, it is a bliss! Some part of life is better forgotten!!
Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How it can’t break when you lose a loved one or someone ditches you or when an innocent child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a careless car driver?
A heart never broken would never know the joy of being imperfect! Yah! Yah! Broken hearts are what give us compassion!
I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turn gray, and to have my youthful laughs forever etch deep grooves on my pretty face!
So, what? So many have never laughed, and died before their hair could turn silver! I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste my time lamenting over the spilt milk, or worry about my morrow! Let me bloom where I am planted!
Now, I care less about what other people think of me. Why, I don't question myself anymore!
After all I was a pillor for many and ’ve earned the right to be wrong!
yes, alsat ,I love the person I have become!!

It ‘s easier to be positive when your hair has turned silver! Freedom at last ! Freedom atlast!
